So, Saturday on the Market brought out a new vendor - Janet’s Things. Janet creates wonderful cloth purses, burp cloths, baby carrier covers, and other baby things. To find out when she’ll be available, you can contact her at Janetsthings@aol.com

David Schmitzer has continued to be a focus at the corner of The Gift Niche on Saturdays. He’ll draw your portrait for just $7.

Sumdat Farm Market now has chestnuts. There are all sorts of dishes you can cook up with chestnuts from pancakes to bisque. You can check out a handful of chestnut recipes at Chestnutsonline.com.

Forest Lumsden who sets up on Table 27 directly in front of On the Rise had some really interesting gourds and gnarly pumpkins on Saturday. I dug Forest’s pumpkins so much I bought one for myself.

Also, Steve of Blue Woman Candles made it back to the Market this weekend with his great, naturally scented products. Expect to see more of him as the weather cools down.

Tim Belcher of Rolling Meadow Farms has peppers galore for sale right now including some great looking ancho peppers. Use them with meats, in soups, chili, and salsas. Epicurious.com has a swarm of recipes you can use anchos in. So, check it out.

Kari of A Crooked Little House had fun dragonflies for sale as well as gorgeous, whimsical birdhouses and lamps.

Linda Jo has new necklaces. At just $5 each these cute necklaces features iron work by Little Creek Forge - another newer vendor to grace us on Saturdays with hand wrought iron hooks, plant stands, dinner bells, and decorative works.
And last, but certainly not least, are Cheryl Dolby’s limited edition dream catchers. Each of these dream catchers features “Spider Woman.” The story goes that…
She weaves the enchanted tales that so many before her have told. The stories are entwined in her web. She tells of how the People would gather the used spider webs and place them around the babies beds to keep out the night insects. The webs were so tightly woven that they afforded protection.
She tells of the spirit of the dream catcher and how the good dreams are caught in the web and the nightmares leave through the hole in the center…. Cheryl Dolby
If you have your eye on one of these little treasures, grab it now before they’re all gone. Cheryl can be found on the Market on both Fridays and Saturdays.
