Tina Workman, of Downtown Roanoke Inc., got stuck in the elevator at DRI yesterday during a power outage that lasted about an hour. Market St. was blocked off while the Fire Dept. came to the rescue to extract Tina. She ended up spending about 45 minutes alone in the elevator in the dark. The power came back on shortly after Tina’s release. I was told Tina held her own and there was no freaking out on her part. Me, I would have freaked out. So Tina scores big bravery points this week. She must have drunk her “courageous juice” yesterday morning. (Psych reference.)
