Friday brought a very different type of produce to the market - hydroponic tomatoes. This unique tomatoes are grown in water, rather than soil and offer a great natural texture and taste. They’re never picked green and are delivered fresh within hours of being picked. These babies were being sold by United Earth Hydroponics of Scottsburg, VA. For more information on this tomato, you can contact the grower at (434) 454 - 4375. You can find United Earth Hydroponics on the Roanoke City Market on Wednesdays and Fridays.
