Apparently the drain on Kirk Street in front of the stop sign before you turn on to Market St. has been sad for some time. For two months in fact it’s been ready to cave in, so it was no surprise when a dump truck ran over it several days ago and left the drain inverted so it had to blocked with a construction barricade. City workers swung by this morning to fix it by relaying the interior brick - a fix that I’m told won’t last as the brick crumbles over time from the weight of the trucks.
